Within the framework of the organisation of the Catalan Climate Change Convention and the participation process for the drawing up of the Catalan Plan to Mitigate Climate Change 2008-2012, a suggestion box was opened for questions or observations on the Draft Catalan Plan to Mitigate Climate Change 2008-2012, presented during the closing day of the Convention on 14 February 2008.

The Catalan Climate Change Convention closed on 14 February with an attendance of 624 representatives from the scientific and academic area, Government and Autonomous Community agencies, and the associations and business area.
The Convention closure made known the more than 900 measures and actions compiled during the public participation process, along with the Draft Catalan Plan to Mitigate Climate Change (2008-2012).
A series of proposals and recommendations has been compiled as a result of all the reflection and debate sessions. Some of them were sent using the online proposal form and others were included in the reports that can be downloaded from the section on reflection days

As a result of the work sessions held on 20 and 21 November (1st work session) and 19 and 20 December (2nd session), a compilation has been made of the remarks and suggestions received online, along with the new measures and actions arising from the debate.
The first session dealt with the themes of transport and mobility, farming, waste and forests. The second session covered buildings, energy, industry and information/awareness raising.

The participation process began with the 1st meeting of the
Climate Change Convention. This served to reassert the Government's
commitment to taking mitigation measures and actions in agreement
with society and making available a framework for joint efforts
in which to debate mitigation proposals and achieve co-responsibility
for their execution.
