European funds

The aim of Community policy is to alleviate regional disparities in the European Union, particularly in the social and economic arena, specifically through funding to the neediest areas via a series of instruments: the four structural funds (ERDF, ESF, EAGGF-Guidance and IFOP) and the Cohesion Fund. Within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy, the EAGGF-Guidance finances the Rural Development Programme.
