Actions

Hydrological planning defines the actions to be carried out in the future according to the conclusions of the plans and the programmes contained within them.

Through the development of these plans and programmes, the Catalan Water Agency is carrying out structural actions (reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, seawater treatment plants, etc.) and the management actions (river bed conditioning, drought management, fish ladders, etc.) in order to improve the integrated management of water resources through the recovery of polluted aquifers, saving water, supply, treatment, reuse, the zonal implementation of ecological flows, the prevention of flooding and carrying out necessary actions to maintain guarantees of use without affecting aquatic ecosystems, with rivers that contain water that is qualitatively and quantitatively acceptable.
